Michael D. Palma
I believe in helping you get the most you can out of your financial planning. If you’re like many of my clients, you are serious about your financial journey and the advice you are receiving. You have important questions in the ever-changing landscape of the financial world. My role is to provide the right answers for you in the context of your own vision.
I began my financial services career upon graduating from Lehigh University in 2008. Over eleven years at two large firms in Manhattan, I received world-class training, worked with top money managers, and ultimately led the investment division of my team. I established Traverse Capital Management in 2019, seeking to deliver greater independence for my clients away from the bias of large firms, and closer engagement with my local Long Island community.
Connecting with people gives me great fulfillment, and I am proud to be involved in numerous community-based organizations. In 2010, I co-founded a weekly networking group for professionals in the Huntington area. I currently serve on the Membership Committee of the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce, where I provide outreach to help fellow members optimize their experience. In addition, I serve on the Board of Directors of a nonprofit organization which assists the family members of unsolved crime victims. I enjoy hearing about my clients’ successes and how they’ve gotten to where they are in life, and then using my knowledge to help them thrive.
I strive to make my family proud every day. I married my wife Diane in 2013, and we share a life of entrepreneurship, adventure, and family values. We have three spunky daughters. Rose, our oldest, was born with a love for horses and is undoubtedly a future equestrian champion. Stefania, our middle girl, regularly practices Taekwondo and is well on her way to her black belt. Our youngest, Teresa, is creative and witty and can always make us laugh. In 2023, we welcomed the latest addition to our family, a playful Labrador Retriever puppy named Chili. My lifetime passion is skiing, and I’m proud to be able to share that with my girls and watch their skills progress alongside one another.
Skiing with my dad and uncle in Lake Tahoe, 2005. This lifetime passion is the inspiration for my investment process.
